Some interesting radiographs from a murder-suicide using “RIP” ammunition. This is a copper bullet that has multiple little leaves (the company calls them “trocars”) that peel off and go in different directions. Here’s a pic from the company’s site:

I’ve heard of this, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it in a homicide.





I have had a few. My observation has been that this ammo, despite the press, underpenetrates badly. Regular old jacketed round nose does a much better job.
